we always had spaetzle with fresh green beans and butter. Simple and bland-sounding, but really quite tastey. These days, I'd probably use more spices and some chix broth rather than butter. Maybe olive oil.

Hi Amy, sounds wonderful. I've been thinking about Key lime pie lately. I didn't realize it was a seasonal earning. I make mine with Nabisco gingersnaps instead of graham crackers. And i use the lime peel grated. Now I'll have to try your recipe (as well as mine) and do a taste test.

Anna Nikoline Baade Flanagan, circa EVERY YEAR:" I think it's going to be an early spring this year." Jeff would laugh and laugh when I would say the same thing, also every year. Right before the last 12" snowstorm arrived, predictably, on March 13th.

Bad news? Discuss when ready. I am here.

Hello, Paula!
Glad you liked the bee (and the art). Tonight I'm making paneer as a different stuffing for the naan recipe, so that will be up later this week.
I filled a spray bottle with water and added some fairly powerful paste food coloring, and then sprayed the mixture on the snow to make the stripes. If I had it to do over I'd make the color a little more orange (too many jokes about yellow snow) and I think it would still be authentically "bee-like". I split some leftover cedar shakes for the legs and used a charcoal briquette for the nose.
And by all means, feature the bee! With all this snow around the country we need to get folks out of their snowman rut.
Best,
APo

Hello! I found your site while looking for a stuffed naan recipe and stayed to look at the art. Beautiful!

OK, and I LOVE the anatomically correct (6 legs) snow bee. We still have a couple of feet of snow to work with. How did you make the yellow part? If I can't make a good snow bee, may I feature your snow bee on our blog (with attribution, of course).
